[edit] History

It is in 2004 that Sophia Doskori, signer of the greek band The Minus One at the time and Alejo Parella, leader of the band almanso met through a competition of New Order covers on the website NewOrderOnline.com. It was quite unthinkable that two people so far away could form a band, but their first project, a cover done especially for the Community EP tribute album of New Order's song Crystal, produced by american producer C Bentley prooved it was possible.

Sophia left then her band to team up with Alejo under the name Nemesis, which they later changed to Glasnost because the name Nemesis was already used by a hip-hop band.

At the end of 2004, Sophia travelled to Argentina where she performed live with Alejo, and it was Glasnost's first concert.

While recording their debut album Mirrors in the Ocean, Glasnost recorded a new cover for NewOrderOnline.com's second tribute album concert, a cover of Turn by New Order that finished in 2nd place of the popular vote. The album, Community 2: A NewOrderOnline Tribute, was releated in October 2006.

A video for the song False has been filmed by David Church in the autumn 2006, it was shot in San Francisco, USA.
