Glacia (グレイシア Gureishia?) is one of the 493 fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Glacia in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]

[edit] Appearance

Glacia resembles a light blue Arctic fox with a blue sherpa-cap on its head. Its neck, feet, tail tip, back tip, cap tips, and the inner part of its ears have the color of dark, greyish-blue.

[edit] In the video games

Glacia made its first appearance in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl in the Nintendo DS, alongside with many other Pokémon.

Glacia can be evolved from Eevee by leveling it up in front of the Ice Rock, which is at the south eastern part of the Kissaki City, which is the city where the seventh gym in Sinnoh is located.

Snow Hide, its ability introduced in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl enhances its evasion while the weather condition Hail is present.
