Giuseppe Coniglio known as U poeta (Pazzano (RC), december 2, 1922Catanzaro, march 13, 2006) was an italian poet, dedicated to calabrian dialect poetry.

Giuseppe Coniglio wa born by family of poor farmers, he lived for all life in Pazzano. He married with Letizia Bosco and has 2 children Palmiro and Maria Antonietta. He works as farm hand and then as capo operaio forestale (forestal head worker) in "Bacio Montano Stilaro". In afterwar writes is first farces of carnival in pazzanito dialect (local variant of calabrian dialect), the most famous was:" La calata degli dei" ( The lower of gods) of 1949. He produce the first poetry's collection in 1973 titled "Calabria contadina"(farmer Calabria). Nel 1984 was publiced a second edition. In the same year, publiced:Quattru chjacchjari e ddui arrisi (Some chat and some laughs). The last collection is of the 1998: A terra mia (My land). He produced enough, innumerable wood's and stone's sculptures. The most famous: "LA fontana dei Mascheroni". In theatral field, the work:Marcu e Filomena and the remake of comedy: In campo teatrale l'opera: Marcu e Filomena e il rifacimento della Natale in casa Cupiello of Edoardo De Filippo in pazzanese dialect.
