Giuseppe Bernardino Bison

Giuseppe Bernardino Bison (Palmanova, 16 June 1762 - Milan, 1844) was Italian painter, known mainly for his history pieces, genre depictions, and whimsical and imaginary landscapes, including veduta di fantasia or capprici. His style is influenced by Tiepolo and Guardi.

Bison's family moved to Brescia, where he worked in the studio of Gerolamo Romani. They then move to Venice, and most of his life, he worked in Venice or in the mainland (Ferrara, Trieste, and Padua).
