Giulio Betti (*1933 in Italy) and his brother Bruno are counted among the world’s best known car illustrators. Since the mid-1960s, both brothers have made the technical content of cars transparent, showing details like engines, chassis components or seats integrated into the vehicle body as if taken by x-rays. Giulio Betti has painted more than 1000 of these illustrations by hand, including many Ferrari and Opel models. But his typical work also includes refrigerators, washing machines, and the Space Shuttle.
