Gislaved däck was a Swedish car tire manufacturer. Gislaved was formed in 1893 when the brothers Carl and Wilhelm Gislow started manufacturing rubber products in Gislaved Municipality. In 1992 Gislaved became a wholly owned subsidiary of Continental AG,[1] which moved production to Germany. Gislaved is today used by Continental AG as a brand name for products developed for the Swedish and Nordic markets, sometimes in competition with tires manufactured by Continental AG.
