From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Girl Skateboards is a Torrance, California based skateboarding company that was started in 1993 by Rick Howard, Mike Carroll and Spike Jonze. The primary function of the company is to sell merchandise; boards, wheels, shirts, pants, and belt buckles that are available with a Girl logo on them.

The Girl brand is currently owned by Crailtap, a company that also owns Lakai, Chocolate Skateboards, Royal Trucks, and Four Star Clothing[1].

[edit] Yeah Right

In 2003, they released a skateboard video called Yeah Right!, directed by Spike Jonze. The video is different from traditional skateboard videos in that it features heavy digital editing, including a part where the Girl team "skates" on invisible skateboards as well as the use of invisible ramps. The video also features a cameo by Owen Wilson.[2]

Other videos under the Girl Skateboards name include Goldfish and Mouse.

Professional skaters in Yeah Right include Eric Koston, Mike Carroll, Brandon Biebel, Jereme Rogers, Jeron Wilson, and Brian Anderson.
