Giovo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Trento in the Italian region Trentino-South Tyrol, located about 10 km northeast of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,464 and an area of 20.8 km2.[1]
The municipality of Giovo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Verla(capoluogo), Ville, Palù, Valternigo, Ceola, and Masen.
Giovo borders the following municipalities: Salurn-Salorno, Mezzocorona, Faedo, Cembra, San Michele all'Adige, Lisignago, Lavis, Albiano, and Trento.
