Giovanni Balducci

Giovanni Balducci, called Il Cosci, (ca. 1560—ca. 1631) was an Italian mannerist painter. Born in Florence, he was trained by Giovanni Battista Naldini. He is one of the collaborators under the supervision of Vasari and Zuccaro on the massive (1575-79), yet generally uninspired decoration of the dome of cathedral of Florence, Santa Maria di Fiori. He also assisted Alessandro Allori in decoration of Vasari's Gallery for the Uffizi.
