Giorgio Sommer (1834-1914) was an Italian photographer of German origins. He produced several images of landscapes, art objects and portraits. He travelled all over Italy and made some photos for catalogues and postcards.

He made business studies in Frankfurt, but he changed later to photography. He moved to Italy in 1856 and worked first in Rome, where he worked in Edmondo Behles's studio and made several exhibitions, and later in Naples.
