Gina Rinehart

Georgina "Gina" Rinehart (born 1954) is the CEO of Hancock Prospecting, and the daughter of mining magnate Lang Hancock. She has been described as "Australia's richest woman", with a net worth of more than AU$1bn. She is best-known for her part in an acrimonious fight with her father's widow, Rose Porteous, over the circumstances of his death.

On May 17, 2006, BRW magazine named Rinehart Australia's first female billionaire. The magazine valued Rinehart's fortune at AU$1.8bn. She was ranked Australia's 8th richest person in the magazine's 2006 Rich List.
