Gill (mushroom)

A gill, or lamella, is one of the papery ribs under the cap of an agaric mushroom. It is the hymenophore of the mushroom.
Morphologically, gills are classified into the following types:
- Decurrent
- Subdecurrent
- Emarginate
- Sinuate
- Adnexed
- Adnate
- Free
