Upon Us (1999) |
Gift (2000) |
Welcome (2002) |
Gift is the first major label album by the nu metal group Taproot. It was released on June 27, 2000. "Again & Again" was the first single and it fared well on rock radio stations, as did the songs music video. Humorously, MTV was prone to misrepresenting the band's name as "Tarpool" rather than Taproot which caused confusion for fan's looking for the song. Curiously, Atlantic decided not to release a video for "I" which would still go on to be an even more successful single than "Again & Again." Many fans have used this as proof that Atlantic did not push this album enough or it would have been more successful. It has sold around 250,000 copies in the U.S.
