[edit] Summary
A not quite fully grown Golden Giant Gourami '(Osphronemus goramy)'. Note that the lips are still slightly pronounced and the forehead hump is not yet fully developed. This specimen was commercially bred and reared in a home aquarium. It is about 3 years old and was raised mostly on a diet of frozen peas and assorted seasonal vegetables.
This particular fish was named "Gorby" as it had an aberrant red scale on its forehead. It also was, (typically of its species and most other fish) a glutton, so was also referred to as "Gorby-troff".
