Gheorghe Bucur (born April 8, 1980 in Bucharest) is a Romanian football player, currently playing at FCU Politehnica Timişoara. He is a speedy and short striker.

Before joining Poli, Bucur had only played for Sportul Studentesc, where he appeared in 169 matches and scored 76 goals in the first two Romanian leagues. He made his debut in the Divizia A during the 2000/2001 season. Bucur tied last year with Claudiu Niculescu for the title of Romanian top league goalscoarer of the Divizia A and his transfer to Timişoara is rumored to have cost around $800,000 (US dollars). Sorin Rădoi also came to Poli as part of that transfer fee.

Gigel Bucur first played in 2005 for the Romania National team and he has gathered five appearances up to now, scoring two goals.
