[edit] Welcome!
Hi there! I read your post on the newcomers help page. To edit the information, open the image page, which for you is: Image:DSC00511.JPG. Then click "edit this page" at the top of the page.
In the meantime here are a few handy tips for newcomers:
- A few basic rules: Try to write from a neutral point of view, be bold in editing pages, and use Wikiquette.
- A good intro page is the welcome page. The Wikipedia tutorial also gives a lot of basic info that will help get you oriented on Wikipedia. If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or Wikipedia:Where to ask a question.
- When you post something on a talk/discussion page, you can sign your name by using three tildes (" ~~~ ") for your username and four (" ~~~~ ") for your username and a timestamp.
- Remember to provide an edit summary when editing.
- If you ever find yourself with nothing to do on Wikipedia, have a look at the Community Portal, you'll find that there's always something happening.
If you ever have any questions, comments, or just want to say hi, don't hesitate to write to me on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Happy editing and have a great day! :-) Akamad 00:47, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Editing images
I notice you have two versions of the same image: Image:Vansky.JPG and Image:DSC00512.JPG. In case you meant to only have one version, I wanted to let you know that you can update already-uploaded images, essentially overwriting them with a new version. You can do this by accessing the page for the image (as in the links above) and clicking "Upload a new version of this file" in the "File history" section to get the form for uploading. [edit] Gulf Island Photos
Great job, I see you caught the same poor weather I did. I added one of Sturdies Bay from my flyby on the ferry today, if you have any better images please feel free to replace. On another note, you might want to consider uploading your images to the commons website where they can be used by all of the projects. Cheers! -- Tawker 08:08, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:DSC00512.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:1218 659.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:1218 659.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rossrs 21:25, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
