[edit] Welcome back!

Hey, great to see you back. You probably don't even remember me, but you helped me when I was new — you uploaded a photo for my user page (not the one that's on it now). I left your page on my watchlist and often wondered what had become of you. I've changed my user name (security), but we came across each other at Pope Benedict XVI. Cheers. AnnH 20:51, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

And by the way, perhaps you should remove your name from here! AnnH 23:41, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the warm welcome back, Ann! Gerald Farinas 23:54, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 2016 Summer Olympics

Your many edits sound kind of surprising, because it's only 2006 (as opposed to 2008, which is the year I originally thought was going to be the year in which the choices for the Summer Olympics will be narrowed.) It must be evidence that Chicago will very likely be among the 5 cities that will still be possible candidates for the games as of 2008. Georgia guy 01:16, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Joseph James Fern

"Not unusual in the native Hawaiian community at the time, Fern practiced bigamy and had three wives."

Where did you get the information that Fern practiced bigamy?

Victoria Kukahilihiapoaliilani is my great grandmother.

[edit] 2016 Summer Olympics

The picture you just added (which I believe was mentioned to be Houston's flag) must have some typo because of how it showed up when I studied your edit; it was just a rectangle with a red X in the upper left corner which as I'm sure you know means "It does not exist". Georgia guy 21:53, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Now, I practiced with the image name in the sandbox and it appears that the image with a flag and a star appears. Georgia guy 21:56, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Canada Summer Olympics

There is a question about the Canada Summer Olympics that I wrote on the talk page of Canadian Olympic Commitee. Can you answer it?? Georgia guy 23:18, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lakeview, Chicago

My most sincere apologies for accidentally deleting the the reference section of the Lakeview, Chicago article. My browser has been giving me issues lately, where it will abruptly stop loading a certain section of an article while I'm editing it. I'm assuming the mishap happened while I was either reverting or correcting a certain part of the article --ShadowJester07 22:01, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Chamberlainhousehonolulu.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Chamberlainhousehonolulu.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Sherool (talk) 11:59, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

The same apply to Image:Hawaiitheatreexterior.jpg, Image:Hawaiistatecapitol.jpg (wich additionaly doesn't have any source info), Image:Kapoleishoppingcenter.jpg, Image:Firsthawaiiancenter.jpg and Image:Iolanipalacehonolulu.jpg (wich also doesn't have a source). --Sherool (talk) 11:59, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Honolulucountryclub.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Honolulucountryclub.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Maziehirono.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Maziehirono.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}. If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chowbok 03:30, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Diocesan Infobox

To the creators of Diocesan/Archdiocesan articles

I have proposed at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Catholicism an infobox for Catholic Dioceses. I have not gotten any feedback on this proposal, so I’m culling feedback, advice, corrections, etc. for this. If you have the time, would you check out User:SkierRMH/Diocese_Infobox and give me some feedback! Thanks much!!

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Crownfountainmillenniumpark.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Crownfountainmillenniumpark.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Crashintome4196 21:48, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
