Talk:Gerry O'Callaghan

[edit] Hangon---this man is certainly notable

If you read the article, and the articles to which it is linked, you will see that Gerry O'Callaghan was an important and notable IRA Volunteer, having taken part in the blanket protests in the H Blocks of Long Kesh Prison, and then dying in an SAS ambush at Loughgall. He is not a random person, in Republican circles he is an important man. ---Charles 03:07, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Absolutly. A well respected IRA Volunteer from Tyrone. As a native of County Tyrone I can confrim that those volunteers killed by the British in the Loughgall ambush are notable people. --UpTheRa 03:29, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blanketman?

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "blanketman"? Doesn't that title deserve some explanation? Mmccalpin 17:48, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
