Gerlachov Peak or Gerlachovský Peak (Slovak: Gerlachovský štít meaning "peak of [the village] Gerlachov". Hungarian: Gerlachfalvi csúcs) or – based on the colloquial or old name – Gerlach Peak (Slovak:Gerlach) is the highest peak in the Tatra mountain range, in Slovakia and in the entire Carpathian mountain range.
Former names: Gerlach (original name; until 1896), Franz Joseph Peak (1896–1919), Peak of Legionaries (1923–ca. 1932), Stalin Peak (1949–ca. 1959). Polish names: Gerlach, Gierlach, Garłuch; Hungarian: Gerlachfalvi-csúcs; German: Gerlsdorfer Spitze.
Climbing Gerlachov peak is permitted only with a certified mountain guide.
