Gerik's Mercenaries
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gerik's Mercenaries is a mercenary group from the game Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Though they are mercenaries, they are extremly loyal to their employers, even if they aren't being paid. At one point in time, the group consisted of hundreds of mercenaries, however only a few are shown in the game. The mercenaries are all from Jehanna.

[edit] Gerik
Gerik is the leader of the mercenaries. A strong, muscular man, he joins your team as a Level 10 Mercenary and can change into either a Hero or a Ranger. He is powerful, with high HP and high strength. Gerik is a very kind man, and loyal to employers, such as Prince Innes. He has a scar across his face, and how he received it is revealed in the 3rd support conversation with Tethys. His job was to fight a knight "from some country or another". He failed horribly, but the knight let him live, and only left the scar across his face. If you get 3 support conversations with Gerik and Tethys, they will marry.
[edit] Tethys
A member of Gerik's Mercenaries. A beautiful dancer, she is reowned for her amazing dancing skills. She will join your team as a Level 1 Dancer, the only Dancer in the game. Instead of attacking, Tethys can allow another member of your team to move twice in one turn. Tethys has weak defence, and cannot counter attack. However, she is quick, and can dodge better than most units can. Revealed in her 2nd support conversation with Gerik, Tethys and her younger brother, Ewan, were abandoned when they were children. She learned her skills from a dancer, to help financially support Ewan and herself. She has a love relationship with Gerik, and is chased by Rennac, whom she does not hold feelings for.
[edit] Marisa
Known as the Crimson Flash, Marisa is deadly, but a gamble to train. You get her halfway through the game as a Level 5 Myrmidion. Marisa isn't exactly loyal to her employers, but has shown unwavering loyalty to Gerik, and will change sides just for him. She is a woman of few words, with a furious temper if unleashed.
[edit] Ewan
Not quite part of the group, Ewan is the eager apprentice of the great sage Saleh, and Tethys' younger brother. He is very proud of his magic skills, and admires his teacher. He will join you as a Level 1 Pupil, very weak when you get him more than halfway through the game. However, if you train him, he can become one of the most powerful magic users in the game.
Ewan likes to imagine things way ahead of his time. During supports with Dozla, he will predict a "flying carriage" (airplane) and a device that can let people far away talk to each other (telephone). Ewan can also have a support ending, for when you get 3 conversations with him and Amelia, they will marry.
[edit] Saleh
Not quite part of the group either, Saleh is a great sage from Caer Pelyn, and the master of Ewan. Saleh is very serious, and doesn't smile often. Saleh wil join your group as a Level 1 Sage, a powerful master class. Saleh shares friendships with many of the mercenaries, and a friendship with Myrrh, the Manakete(also known as the great dragon). Saleh wishes to see peace restored to Magvel, and wants to see the reign of the Revenants end.
