Just to let you know: the Wikipedia style is to "capitalize the first letter only of the first word and of any proper nouns in a heading, and leave all of the other letters in lower case." this is why I've changed "Next Station" to "Next station". [edit] Viva Blue color
What is the Viva Blue color?? More generally, what is the definition of a Viva color?? Georgia guy 23:23, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- Stop creating these templates, unless you can clarify what use they serve.SoothingR 23:37, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
There is Template:VIVA Stations for which you write {{VIVA Stations}} that produces;
I'm wondering what your intention with the templates you created is. --Alf melmac 23:39, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
I was going to make a template similar to the one in Toronto subway and RT where the map is. Geo android 23:45, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- You still haven't explained what you are gonna do with all those viva colour templates. The use of that big one is clear to me.SoothingR 23:48, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'm making it now on Viva (bus rapid transit) just under the map. Geo android 23:50, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
Finished. Geo android 00:02, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- So it is for use in Viva (bus rapid transit) only?SoothingR 09:17, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, and maybe even other articles related to Viva (bus rapid transit). I'm sorry about the confusion.Geo android 21:15, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well, yes. Please either use it in more articles or subst these templates in Viva (bus rapid transit) and request deletion for them. There's not really a reason for keeping these templates if they're only being used in one article.SoothingR 17:33, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:IM009924.JPG
|
Thanks for uploading Image:IM009924.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 82.83.65.227 13:25, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:IM009924.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:IM009924.JPG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 82.83.65.227 13:25, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:IM002126-mccowanvivastation.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:IM002126-mccowanvivastation.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:08, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AfD Nomination: East Mall (TTC)
I've nominated the article East Mall (TTC) for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that East Mall (TTC) satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/East Mall (TTC). Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of East Mall (TTC) during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion.
