Criticism
The makers of Foreman's grill have shown no evidence that using the grill significantly reduces the fat content of foods over normal grilling methods.
no source so I made it go the way of the macarena

[edit] "avid" autographs
How is one an "avid autograph signer"?? This seems an odd way to describe his current activities. --michael zimmer 21:26, May 19, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Names and fathers?
I quote from a post to Usenet:
"His (George Foreman's) childhood hadn't been affluent, but at least, unlike a lot of young black men, he'd grown up with both a mother and a father. Or so he thought. Actually, he was conceived at a time when his mother and her husband had separated, and his father was a man he knew only as an acquaintance. Until he was a teenager, he had no idea of this, he just wondered from time to time why his father seemed distant. When he did discover the truth it turned out that everyone else had known all along: his father, the man he had thought of as his father, and even his elder siblings: the nickname they called him, which he'd never known the origin of, was a short form of his real father's last name. He did not take this well.
So when he grew up, calmed down, married, and began to have children of his own, he wanted to spare them from any possible doubt. Which is why he demonstrated that every child was both wanted and loved, by giving each one his or her father's name."
So, under the circumstances, should the article actually say that his father was JB Foreman? DS 20:20, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Big George
????????--??????? How did he get the nickname Big George? Can someone add that to wiki please? -- (Shabbir Bokhari) -- 11th DECEMBER
GEORGE FOREMAN HAS NO FINGERPRINTS - true story, he lost them in an unfortunate grilling accident while trying to test out his popular brand of grills.
[edit] "Pound for pound, the greatest heavyweight"
Hello,
Don't you think that this phrase in a passage of the article is contradictory? We usually put "pound for pound" expression to compare a boxer with fellows of different categories. For instance, Robinson was the greatest pound for pound boxer of history - just an example for the sake of explanation :). Thus, saying that Foreman was "pound for pound, the greatest heavyweight" is incorrect. We should rather say "pound for pound, the greatest boxer" etc...
What do you think guys? Cheers
- I agree. Its either pound for pound the best over all weights or the best at any given wieght, so pound for pound the best heavyweight is incorrect. --LiamE 09:23, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
