This statement, "comprising the exploitation and analysis of satellite information", does not make sense. How can you state GEOINT IS from satellite information and the next sentence say the source can be collected from aircraft or by other means? The word satellite should be removed as it directly contradicts the second sentence, nor does it reflect the vision of the founding father of GEOINT (LTG (ret.) James R. Clapper, who frequently preached that GEOINT is from any source (and he meant any source, whether a human, aircraft, or satellite collected it...
The second sentence in the definition of GEOINT reads, "GEOINT sources include imagery and mapping data, whether collected by commercial satellite, government satellite or by other means, such as UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) or reconissance aircraft."
