State Route 369 begins with its intersection with S.R. 20 east of Canton, Georgia and travels to the east, through unincorporated and generally rural areas of Cherokee and Forsyth counties. The intersection of S.R. 369 and S.R. 400 is just north of the limited access portion of S.R. 400. East of S.R. 400, S.R. 369 crosses the backwaters of Lake Lanier in Forsyth county twice before crossing the main channel of the lake into Hall county. It becomes a major thoroughfare, the Jesse Jewell Parkway, in Gainesville before it reaches its eastern terminus at Interstate 985.
