Georgia Rugby Union

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Georgia Rugby Union (or საქართველოს რაგბის კავშირი) is the governing body for rugby union in Georgia.

It was founded in 1964, but until the late 1980s it was part of the Soviet Union's rugby federation. It became affiliated to the International Rugby Board in 1992.

GRU president Bidzina Gegidze took over the union in 1996.
