Georgi Petkov

Georgi Petkov (Bulgarian: Георги Петков) (born March 14, 1976 in Pazardzhik) is a Bulgarian football player.

He currently plays for PFC Levski Sofiaas a goalkeeper. He started playing with Hebur Pazadzhik(Хебър Пазарджик). He came to Levski from Slavia in 2002. He was a substitute of Dimitar Ivankov until this season. He was the best goalkeeper in Bulgaria for 2005 and a national player for Bulgaria. He was a substitute in the national team to Ivankov. After Ivankov left Levski Petkov showed his real potential and became an important part of the team.With Georgi as a key player his team was the first bulgarian team to join the group stage of the UEFA Champions' league.

Petkov is a player who likes to tease the opponents and often gets yellow cards for this. He is one of the best goalkeepers Bulgaria has and the best in the local championship.
