Georgi Asparuhov Stadium

The Georgi Asparuhov is the stadium of Bulgarian football club PFC Levski Sofia. It was built in 1960, and has a capacity of 29,200. The stadium is named after Georgi Asparuhov, a legendary forward of the club who died in a car accident in 1971. The stadium is known as GERENA among the fans; an old name of the stadium which is still very popular. The stadium has the only training pitch with artificial flooring in Bulgaria. The size of the official pitch is 105m x 68m. The last renovation of the stadium was in 1999. See stadium [1]
