Georges Basin

The Georges Basin was a basin, on the River Mersey and part of the Port of Liverpool it was situated where the Pier Head currently sits. The dock was connected to Georges Dock in the south, Princes Dock to the north and the Mersey to the west.

The dock was opened in 1771.
