George Wood (baseball player)

George Wood (November 9, 1858 – April 4, 1924) was an American major league baseball player. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and played for the Philadelphia Phillies for much of his career, which lasted from 1880 to 1892. He also managed for the Philadelphia Athletics.
