The George R. Austin Intermediate School houses fourth and fifth grade students from Lakeville, Massachusetts, USA and fifth grade students from Freetown, Massachusetts. Situated at 112 Howland Road, Lakeville, MA 02347, it was established in 2004. Mr. R Edward Heywood is the Principal.

Until the 2002 school year, the building housed grades 5-8 from Lakeville and Freetown. In 2002, these grades moved to the new Freetown-Lakeville Middle School and the building which was to become the George R. Austin Intermediate School was refurbished.
[edit] Courses
Students at the George R. Austin Intermediate School take one mathematics, English, reading, science, history, and physical education class each year. Every student must take a foreign language each year. French and Spanish are offered. In addition, they take several electives (called "specials"), including art, music, and computer classes.
