George Gardner (born on October 8, 1942 in Lachine, Quebec, Canada and died on November 6, 2006) was a retired NHL goaltender. [1] He was the first-ever goalie in Vancouver Canucks franchise history and he died on November 6, 2006. Gardner in his NHL career played for the Vancouver Canucks and the Detroit Red Wings.[2]
