George Friend

George Friend (born October 19, 1987 in Devon) is a professional footballer with Nationwide Conference side Exeter City.
George signed a one year contract with the Grecians at the start of the 2006-2007 season.
A product of the Exeter City youth academy,schooled at West Buckland School,Devon, Friend recently signed a one year contract with the Grecians at the start of the 2006-07 season. He was thought highly of by former manager Alex Inglethorpe, who described him as a "natural athlete" and "one for the future". George's natural position is the left side of central defence, although he can also play left back.
