George F. Johnson, IV is an American politician and Sheriff of Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Johnson was a Democratic candidate for Anne Arundel County Executive in the 2006 election, losing the election to Republican John R. Leopold.

Johnson was elected Sheriff in 1994 and was re-elected in 1998 and 2002. Prior to being elected, Johnson was a police officer in the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

George raised his family in Anne Arundel County with his wife, Linda, and their three children and three grandchildren.
