George Dewar

Lloyd George Dewar (1915 – November 2003) was a Canadian physician and politician.
Born in New Perth in Kings County, Prince Edward Island, he graduated from Dalhousie University in 1943. During World War II, he was a member of the Royal Canadian Medical Corps.
He was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island as a PC candidate representing district of 2nd Prince in the 1955 elections.
In 1993, he was made a Member of the Order of Canada and was awarded the Order of Prince Edward Island in 1996.
In 1993, his autobiography, A Prescription For A Full Life was published.
He is buried at the Brudenell Protestant Cemetery in Prince Edward Island.
