George Augustus Henry Cavendish, 1st Earl of Burlington (31 March 17544 May 1834), known as Lord George Cavendish before 1831, was the third son of the 4th Duke of Devonshire and the former Lady Charlotte Boyle, a daughter of the 3rd Earl of Burlington (of the first creation).

On September 10, 1831 he was created Baron Cavendish of Keighley, in the County of York, and Earl of Burlington. (His maternal grandfather was the last Earl of Burlington of the previous creation.)

He married Lady Elizabeth Compton, a daughter of the 7th Earl of Northampton, on 27 February 1782 in London. They had six children:
