George Bovell III (born July 18, 1983) is the ninth person ever to win an Olympic medal for Trinidad and Tobago. His bronze in Athens in 2004 represents the 12th medal that Trinidad has achieved in the Olympics.

This medal was the first for the English speaking Caribbean in the Athens 2004 games, the Caribbean's first medal ever in the sport of swimming, and the only medal for Trinidad and Tobago in Athens 2004. Bovell carried the T&T flag at the opening ceremony of the 20th Central American and Caribbean Games in Cartagena, Colombia.
