George Ashburnham, 3rd Earl of Ashburnham

George Ashburnham, 3rd Earl of Ashburnham KG GCH FSA MA (December 25, 1760October 27, 1830) was a British Peer.

He was the son of John Ashburnham, 2nd Earl of Ashburnham and Elizabeth Crowley and was baptised on 29 January 1761 at St. George's Church, Hanover Square, London, with George III, Thomas Pelham-Holles, 1st Duke of Newcastle and Augusta of Saxe-Gotha as his godparents.

In 1780, he graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge with a Master of Arts. He held the office of Trustee of the British Museum between 1810 and 1830.

He married, firstly, Sophia Thynne (December 19, 1763April 9, 1791), daughter of Sir Thomas Thynne, 1st Marquess of Bath, on 28 August 1784. They had three children:

He married, secondly, Charlotte Percy (June 3, 1776November 26, 1862), daughter of Algernon Percy, 1st Earl of Beverley, on 25 July 1795. They had 12 children:
