George Akume

George Akume (b. 27 December 1953) has been governor of Benue State in Nigeria since 29 May 1999. He is a member of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP). Before then he was a career civil servant who rose to the apex of the professional career ladder as a permanent secretary.
