Georg Prime is one of the recurring characters in the Suikoden series. He is renowned throughout the Suikoden world as a skilled swordsman with a colorful past; he was once one of the Six Great Generals of the Scarlet Moon Empire, a member of the Ebony Moon Knights in the Grasslands, and also one of the Queendom of Falena's Queen's Knights. During his career as a member of the Queendom of Falena's Queen Knights, Georg was involved in an incident where he bore the responsibility as the one who assassinated Queen Arshtat Falenas. Although it is known to the royal family that the truth of the incident was that under Ferid Egan's request, Georg had to slay the Queen to prevent her from destroying Falena in her frenzied state due to the Sun Rune, the fact remained that he was the one who killed the Queen, and to the general public, that is an undisputed fact. As such, Georg had to leave Falena and was considered missing until he appeared once again during the Dunan Unification War to lend his skill to Riou as one of the Infantry Generals.

[edit] Weapon

Georg Prime is known as one of the best swordsmen in the land. He is a practitioner of Iaijutsu (a form similar to Battoujutsu). With this form, he swiftly and accurately draws his blade and slays his enemy, then returning it to his saya (scabbard) in one clean, smooth motion. He only draws his blade when he is sure that his enemy will die.

  • Kaze/Wind (Level 1-4)
  • Tsuki/Moon (Level 5-10)
  • Kumo/Cloud (Level 11-16)

In Suikoden V, Georg Prime's sword is called an "Iai Sword." In reality, an Iai sword is just a katana or wakizashi. Georg Prime's sword, however, is more like a combination between a European broad sword, a Chinese Tai Chi sword, and a Japanese katana.

[edit] War Unit Statistics/Skills

  • Suikoden II: 11 ATK, 8 DEF, Base Infantry Unit, Critical (Inflicts double damage to an enemy unit, effectively wiping the unit out
  • Suikoden V: +9 ATK, Charge x1 (Causes 20% damage of the total max number of an enemy unit, without receiving damage personally)

[edit] Trivia

  • He has a severe weak spot for cheesecake. In fact there are always 6 cheesecakes in his inventory whenever he joins the player.
  • He used an eye-patch as a Queen's Knight (Suikoden V) and as One of the Six Great Imperial Generals under Barbarossa, but didn't use one during the Dunan Unification War (Suikoden II). The reason for this is because, years ago, while in battle, he was struck close to his eye due to his overconfidence. Ferid saved his life, and Georg decided to wear the patch in remembrance of this event.
  • His detective investigation entry by Richmond was mistranslated by Konami. Georg's life events were written in reverse on the English version of Suikoden II from how they were written in the Japanese version.[1]
  • He has attained many names, the most common and known one is "Deathblow" Georg.
  • Jamieson Price is the voice actor of Georg Prime at Suikoden V (US Version).
  • Georg made a brief appearance in Suikogaiden 2 lending aid to Nash Latkje and Teresa Wisemail by defeating a small group of Highland Soldiers during the period Jowy Atreides occupied Greenhill in Suikoden 2
