Geography in the Suikoden series
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Suikoden series of RPGs contains a consistent geographical world. However, some of the information concerning this world is so far only available in various Suikoden-related publications.
The following areas are included in the respective games:
- Suikoden I is set in the the Toran Region. The major series change in this game is the 3 year destruction of the Scarlet Moon Empire, which encompasses the Toran Region, and its transformation into the Toran Republic.
- In Suikoden II the player journeys around the Dunan Region, to the north of Toran. The major geographical change is the unification of the City States (excluding Tinto) and the annexing of the Kingdom of Highland into the newly formed Dunan Republic.
- Suikoden III is set in three countries: Zexen, Grasslands, and Harmonia. No new countries are established, however Harmonia's border is pushed back from the Grasslands.
- Suikoden IV is set in the Island Nations. By the end of the game, all the separate islanddoms in the south have united to create the Island Nations Federation.
- Suikoden V is set in the Queendom of Falena. This game takes place before Suikoden 1. The game tells the story of the fall of the queen ,and the resulting civil war.
