Geoffrey Bush (March 23, 1920- February 24, 1998) was a British composer, organist and scholar of 19th century English music.

Geoffrey Bush was born in London, became a chorister at Salisbury Cathedral at age 8 and studied informally with the composer John Ireland. He was educated at Oxford University, graduating in 1946.

Bush taught music first at Oxford and then moved in 1952 to London University for the balance of his career. He died in London.

His numerous compositions -- they included 5 operas, 2 symphonies, choral pieces such as his Christmas Cantata and many songs generally in the lieder style -- are not much heard today and few recordings exist.
