Geoff Beale

Geoffe Beale is the Artistic Director and co–founder (with Howard Gayton) of the Ophaboom Theatre Company. Based in London, Ophaboom specializes in creating and performing contemporary works in the Italian Commedia dell'Arte tradition. Working in a variety of languages, the company has traveled and performed all across Europe, as well as in Korea, Canada, and the United States; and was featured in the book Commedia dell'Arte: A Handbook for Troupes by John Rudlin and Olly Crick.

Beale trained intensively with Desmond Jones, Antonio Fava, and Carlo Boso, all of whom specialise in physical theatre and commedia. He has studied with Complicite, Monika Pagneau, Philippe Gaulier and Theatre de Soleil, and has performed for a number of companies, including Kazzum. He also acted as Patrick Stewart's flying double in Christmas Carol.
