The Baradev and Chandika Temples in Parel Village in Central Mumbai.
During the building of the access road from parel to sewree port the golanji hill was dug up. During this excavation, a Monolithic Staue of Shiva surrounded by his ganas [totally 12 faces] [est to be circa 600 ad] was found. This was installed by the Somvamshi Kshatriya Pathare community living there in a temple commonly called as a Baradev temple. This is near the Chandika temple which has an idol of similar ancestry. Nearest Railway Station / bus station is Dadar Junction on the mumbai local train network.
There exists a plaster replica of the Baradev in the Kumarswamy Museum in South Mumbai { erstwhile The Prince of Wales Museum } contributed by Prashant Mhatre
