Gennadiy Avdeyenko (born November 4, 1963 in Odessa) is a retired athlete who represented USSR and later Ukraine. Competing in the high jump, he won the 1983 World Championships as well as a silver medal at the 1987 World Championships with a personal best of 2.38 metres. He was able to repeat this result at the 1988 Olympics, and won a gold medal.
