Genevieve Teague is a fictional character from the fourth season of the TV series Smallville. She is the mother of Jason Teague. She has a history with Lionel Luthor, and it is strongly implied, though never explicitly stated, that the two billionaires had at one time been sexually involved, possibly while he was still married to his wife Lillian. It is also strongly implied, by Lionel Luthor, and agreed on by Lex, that Genevieve has engaged in a sexual relationship with her own son, Jason. (However, this may have just been a ploy by the Luthors to inflict psychological damage on Jason in order to escape when the Teagues kidnapped them.) Genevieve is one of the few people to ever get Lionel to admit that he does in fact love his oldest son Lex Luthor. Highly wealthy and just as ambitious, Geneieve plotted to get her hands on artifacts from Krypton and was willing to do just about anything to get them. This included arranging for Lionel Luthor to be freed from prison, having her son get Lana Lang to fall in love with him, and torturing both of the Luthors.

Genevieve attacked Lana in an attempt to steal an artifact that was in Lana's possession. The dormant spirit of Countess Marguerite Isobel Theroux once again took possession of Lana and killed Genevive in order to protect her host body. When Genevieve's blood touched the crystal, another castrophe- a meteor shower- occurred on that same day, which led to Clark Kent unlocking The Fortress of Solitude. Afterwards, Jason was thought to be killed by Lionel Luthor, but in fact died during the second meteor shower while desperately battling Jonathan and Martha Kent, believing them to be in possession of the elements. Genevieve's death was also covered up by Lex to benefit Lana.
