Geneva Cruz

Geneva (Geneve) Mendoza Cruz better known as Geneva Cruz, is a Filipina singer and actress. Born on April 2, 1976 in Gagalangin Tondo Manila, she comes from the Cruz clan which include celebrities Tirso Cruz III, Sunshine Cruz, Sheryl Cruz and Donna Cruz.

Geneva Cruz began her career in 1989 as one of the lead singers of the popular group Smokey Mountain. She subsequently left the group and pursued a solo career. Her first album, "I Like You" went platinum. The album produced several hit singles, including the title track and Anak ng Pasig (from the movie of the same title) in which Geneva appeared. "Anak Ng Pasig," was also chosen as Best Pop Song by the 1992 Catholic Mass Media Awards.

Geneva was chosen to represent the Philippines at the three-dayVoice of Asia Song Festival in Kazahakstan where she won the Grand Prize. Her second album, "In the Name of Love," became a big hit in the Philippines as well as in Malaysia and Indonesia.

She has also appeared in several films and television shows.

She's living with her boyfriend MTV VJ KC Montero and son Heaven by her former boyfriend, musician Paco Arespacochaga.
