The Genesee County Patriots are a semi-pro football team located in Flint, Michigan. The Patriots currently play in the North American Football League.
[edit] Team History
The Patriots began in 2003 at Flint's Atwood Stadium as a member of the OVFL. They shared the stadium with their league rival the Flint Fury. Their inaugural season was a disappiontment, but the Patriots were about to undergo drastic changes.
Before the 2004 season, the Patriots jumped to the NAFL and relocated to Clio's Pride Stadium. A little improvement to the team, but still the result of a disappointing season loomed on the Patriots again.
The 2005 season started back in Flint as Clio's Pride Stadium underwent renovations in the parking lot, so for the first two home games the Patriots played at Flint's Guy V. Houston Stadium, and finished it out back at Pride Stadium. Once again the Pats improved, but still were disappointed with how the season turned out.
The home games for the 2006 Patriots have returned to Atwood Stadium due to a disagreement with the Clio athletic director.
