General Math

General Math, also known as Mathematics, is a timed math test given at UIL and TMSCA academic competitions.

The test is forty minutes long and consists of fifty multiple choice problems. Problems can be solved using knowledge, and scratch work is permitted. Problems range from simple arithmetic to differential and integral calculus.

Each problem answered correctly gives you five points. Each problem answered incorrectly takes away two points. Unanswered problems do not affect your score, and skipping is permitted. Scores can range from -100 to 250.
