General Algebraic Modeling System

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) is a high-level modeling system for mathematical programming problems. The program itself consists of a language compiler, an integrated development environment, and a group of integrated solvers. Thus, GAMS is not a solver itself.

GAMS is designed for ease of use. It also focuses on allowing developers to separate model definition from model data. It is produced by GAMS Development Corporation.
