The Municipality of Gen. Mariano Alvarez (Filipino: Bayan ng Heneral Mariano Alvarez) is a second class urban municipality in the province of Cavite, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 112,446 people in 22,592 households.

Gen. Mariano Alvarez is considered as the youngest town in the province of Cavite. It was founded on March 14, 1981, following its split from its mother municipality, Carmona. The place was formerly known as the Carmona Resettlement Project, serving as a relocation area for informal settlers who occupied several areas in Quezon City, Manila and Makati cities.

This year, the municipality celebrates its 25th anniversary.
